I have a Bosch dual fuel stand alone , model 728 , that is hook to a propane tank because I don't have acces to natural gas . Yes there is a loss of power according to the sticker on the range on 3 of the burners, the biggest one being 15k stays 15k , the others go from 9.1k to 7.5 K, 12.5K to 11, 5.5 k to 5 k .
I don't want to burn off the plastic in my house, and don't feel like disconnecting the propane and trying to rig it up the range outside to burn it off out there, and besides, two of the burners were shot. I really like the pro style ranges like Bertazonni or American because i don't like all the electronic crap that most cheaper ranges have now.
We are renovating our kitchen and need some advice on a range hood. We have a Frigidaire 30" dual-fuel slide in range and cook a lot. We don't bake as much but still use the oven a fair amount for main dishes like cooking the turkey at the holidays etc.
My husband and I are in the process of buying our first house. The kitchen leaves much to be desired but we went in expecting to buy new countertops and -most important - a new stove/range. But today during the inspection we realized that the current range is a downdraft-type - i.e. it is vented down through the cooktop, not up through a range ...
About us: we cook almost every day, but we've always dealt with low-end ranges in rental units. We make jam, beer, can tomato sauce, you name it. The 36" will be a dream for our big canning pots. But we simply can't afford the Capital or a blue star. Looking forward to the wisdom of the group. We need to make a decision quickly. Thanks!

I own both All Clad d5 and Thermo Clad--often having trouble choosing between them. If you go Demeyere for a pan, I'd suggest that you consider the 11" pro line 7 pli with helper handle (sometimes sold as Atlantis). I think you should purchase at least one Dutch Oven for one pot meals.

It's supposed to be 'no name brand' but commercial quality cookware. How does it compare to , say, All-Clad, which I have some of and like , just dont feel like shelling out $100 every time I want or need a new fry pan or sauce pan. Was looking at some Cuisinart on eBay when I spotted this NSF stuff, which is also on Amazon and other sites.

2 - There may be a slight difference but the 99% answer is no, there is no different feel. The quality of the gas stove itself will play much more into the equation. 3 - A 100 gallon tank will last longer than you care to know, probably over a year. Now jfood only has the cooktop and some fireplaces on his abut it is negligible useage.
