I have a Bosch dual fuel stand alone , model 728 , that is hook to a propane tank because I don't have acces to natural gas . Yes there is a loss of power according to the sticker on the range on 3 of the burners, the biggest one being 15k stays 15k , the others go from 9.1k to 7.5 K, 12.5K to 11, 5.5 k to 5 k .
I'm FINALLY going to replace my ancient Jenn-air electric cooktop and I'd like to consider getting one that's gas-fueled, but the only gas we have access to here in the house is LPG. Is it worth it to get a gas cooktop that's designed to be used with LPG, or am I better off with some other type of electric cooktop?

I own both All Clad d5 and Thermo Clad--often having trouble choosing between them. If you go Demeyere for a pan, I'd suggest that you consider the 11" pro line 7 pli with helper handle (sometimes sold as Atlantis). I think you should purchase at least one Dutch Oven for one pot meals.

It's supposed to be 'no name brand' but commercial quality cookware. How does it compare to , say, All-Clad, which I have some of and like , just dont feel like shelling out $100 every time I want or need a new fry pan or sauce pan. Another method would be to make a mold, and cast them. Zinc gives off fumes when overheated which can cause metal fume fever. This is a big subject in my blacksmithing forum . It has lead to some deaths over the years. Drinking milk does not stop it. Soldering should not be a problem, but be careful when casting not to breath the fumes.
