glad you had a good time, tord. fyi, 'tanjore' is the british bastardisation of 'thanjavur', a city in tamil nadu. it became famous as a restaurant name when the the taj group of hotels opened a 'tanjore' in the bombay taj. at the time, it was unique in that it was a very upscale 'ethnic' restaurant, but i think they went a little overboard in the silliness: you had to suffer south indian ...

Indigo, Needham is fabulous. It cannot be compared to that sinfully overrated, noisey eatery up the street, "Blue on Highland". Indigo has a great fully stocked, intimate bar and an interesting menu. They will bend over backwards to make you happy.

Many supermarket chains offer this service now (ie Stop & Shop, Shaw's) and a few hotels used to do it (the Ritz was doing it before they became "the Taj"). Everything is prepared (including dessert) and boxed up for you to take home....and price range is $85 - $150, depending on place you get it.
I saw that Banyan Bar and Refuge opened in the old Hammersley space. I was wondering if anyone has been. Any insight appreciated. If not, I will likely be going soon and shall report back. I enjoyed Philip Tang's food at East by Northeast and am interested to see what he has brought to Banyan.
