Well like I said when I play Mirrors Edge then I have no problems at all. As for The Sims 3, well I am completely unable to connect to the EA servers when playing The Sims 3. I find it strange that one EA game is able to connect while another EA game has problems. Very strange indeed.

Well i've had the extended cut for quite a while now, and so far have put around 20 hrs into the single player campaign. But in the last week or so i can't get on. I boot the game up and i get the "cannot connect to EA servers message" and then after that i get a message that says " unable to authorize listed DLC.
Still no connection to EA servers. Looked online and found solutions like setting the date back to 2005 on the calendar, clear the cache, all sorts of stuff but still no connection. Start chat with EA customer support and they say that this is an offline only game, that there is no online funcitonality. I am confident that they are wrong.
I have an Online Dynasty going with a friend of mine, and every day, I'm guaranteed to have at least one issue with connecting to the EA Servers to play the game. Today, I simply can't connect at all, and I've tried every possible solution. I've tried quitting and restarting. I've tried logging out of PSN then logging back on.

Origin has a cloudsave system that automatically stores your save data to their servers if you opt in for that option. I however am not 100% sure the Sims4 uses this feature as I have not had a need to use it of yet.

It's stupid but it works. I had my laptop up and ps4 on and was able to sign into the Madden servers within 15 seconds of me signing into origin so I don't think it was just a coincidence. all ea servers were down yesterday not just maddens. an easy way to check is by going to help.ea.com where the have server status.
You need an internet connection and a psn account and during the main menu of mercs 2 in the top right corner of the screen it will say your being connected and then you are connected to the EA servers :D
Gamingdutchman I completely agree, Ea sports is a damn disgrace. I have been having this problem for weeks now and EA has done absolutely nothing to fix it. Over on the official EA TW forums people have called tech support and they insist that it is not their servers even when it clearly is.
To do this, just go to the EA website (www.ea.com) and log in there with the account you created there. Once done, search for the option that allows you to link your PSN/SEN account and follow the instructions. From now on, when you start up the game AND are signed in to the PSN/SEN network, the game will automatically connect to the EA servers.
