We tried some of the classics - fried fish, shrimp sukka (dry), Goan special shrimp curry with okra, fish curry and bhakri (similar to chapati, but thicker and made with sorghum.
Where I am in the world, the poor tend to eat lots of fatty, low quality, processed food, with few vegetables. In spite of this, hunger amongst the poor is a genuine social issue, with an increasing reliance on the charity of food banks. This really isnt the food I want to eat and hope that i never have to.
