Once we have been subsumed into the moral group of our choosing we, as a species, tend to out right reject ANYONE who doesn't fit within our own moral matrices. Which tends to be a problem because that create HUGE blind spots in our reasoning that prevent us from properly conversing with those outside of our groups and reject everything about ...

Never underestimate a McKinsey alumni... that firm? Is huge, very difficult to get into, and is involved with most anything you can think of, from nuclear physics to Coca Cola. It’s one of those work places to where if it’s on your resume, you’re gonna be a top candiadate for the job you’re applying for...

VAT is a terrible idea. I do not know why anybody is for it. ... TG and other games: this one has updates! User Info: Nitro378. Nitro378 4 months ago #43. ... That’s why it’s a regressive tax. No need to pay for your kids schools and have them promise to pay for your nursing home (god that Forbes article is s***ty).
Gay rights and religion are at the heart of a simmering feud between Vice President Mike Pence and potential Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg. The 37-year-old mayor of South Bend ...
The following is a transcript of an interview with Pete Buttigieg conducted by CBS News' Ed O'Keefe.
Going into this democratic race for the nomination, I went in trying to learn about each candidate and picking one that I thought best fit what I would like in a president. After seeing the recent ...
Pretty sure Bernie would be for it, since his entire platform is basically exponentially empowering government to put their boot on people’s necks, steal their money by force, and redistribute it in return for votes. He’s a communist.oh yes stealing wallstreets hard earned bailout money is a sure sign of communism.
As a Hoosier, I've been cognizant of the guy but never really had any exposure, but he's been killing it since that cnn townhall and he has some really good ideas. I know it's a longshot, but something about him makes me go "oh what the hell why can't he?" In Brady We Trust.
Andrew Yang dropped out of the presidential race Tuesday, shortly after the polls closed in the New Hampshire primary. "You know, I am the math guy and it is clear tonight from the numbers that we ...
I am a supporter of Andrew's. I think UBI is a great idea but it's not the only reason I support him. He is very much a common sense candidate and a majority of his policies kind of make you ...

But there is reason to believe that a universal basic income wouldn't ignite a wanton spending spree on jet skis and handbags. In Stockton, California, the local government is giving $500 prepaid ...
I think it's trying to help people have a more accurate view of the people's relationship to their government. Income tax itself is your money and your family's money and your neighbor's money. It's our money. When we get an income tax rate reduction or (in some states) a kicker, it's not a gift, but it's our own money being returned back to us.

The "best country in the world" conceit is what most will think of their own country, it's natural. I'm not American, so given what I consider to be an unhealthy gun obsession and an insanely high rate of mass shootings, the US falls into the "it's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there" category.
Board_hunter567 posted... I live in the South, so I can honestly say the best way is by helping them. Not in the ways that the ignorant want to be helped I mean help them by fixing voting rights, restoring employee rights, giving them good healthcare, offering education, creating modern and sustainable jobs, bolstering employment assistance programs, reduce the cost of living, fix the housing ...

I am talking about climate change, trade rules, technology standards and preventing excesses and contagion in financial markets. If your country wants to have a say in how those problems are solved — and your country’s name is not America, Russia, China or India — you need to be part of a wider coalition like the European Union.
