You can switch between using the semi- automatic or the grenade launcher. You set the weapon to the "fire mode" at which you want it by pressing the L3 button (Pressing down on the analog stick). You need to add special M203 grenade rounds to your equipment via the Armory screen before you can use the grenade launcher though.
An enemy walks up and down the path steps (between the middle section and the top). Go up the first set of steps until reaching the purple barrel on the left and order Fireteam to Hold Position. While staying close to the wall on the left, move to the start of the next set of steps (where the path turns south).
The ranking system has been improved and changed in this game one way or another. There are now two ladders instead of one: Enlisted and Officer. The Enlisted ladder is the starter ladder and is based purely on number of games played until you get to the final rank. All players must start in the Enlisted ladder.
