TehSpecialOne posted... Not really. The guards tell me off if I want to leave, and isn't the murder thing the main quest anyway? From what I've gathered, all you did was start the game and immediately look at a guide at how to do the quests because it took me well over five hours before I even started the second step of the murder mystery.
What is the best ending? Become new Divine: A new Divine rises, but the threat of voidlings remains. Chose to be divine after the final battle. Let Lucian remain Divine: The void driven back, and Lucian and Dallis being worshiped by everyone. Surrender to Lucian and let him have the divinity.
Its best just to master 1 or 2 and get every element with elemental summons. throughout the game, you can get your summon to resist tank lots of mobs or bosses. i.e a group of spiders spamming poison, summon your skelly. A boss does massive fire damage, summon your fire elemental next to him.
It's where the path initially splits, when you go left down the stairs, except now you can unlock the gate to the right of the fighting orcs and skeletons), and you can approach the big black gate to unlock it. Continue forward and you'll come upon a gigantic spider/crab boss. It helps to spread out, because he uses a water-based AoE attack.
the new one looks great but i am afraid it may have lost that sense of freedom the old ones had. like in Syndicate Wars instead of going ahead with your mission objective you could just steal a car and rob the bank. doesn't look like that type of gameplay will be featured in the new one. its not going to stop me from buying the game, but i would have liked to see some freedom.
Posted these on another board I frequent, but here's some info others might find useful:-Completing the bartender's quest will allow you to mix Good and Evil characters in your party.-If you want Evil characters to turn Good, I seem to have had the most random encounters with friendly monsters right at the start of Nivenah Temple.

Head south from there and follow the path for Rune Mail. Now go back to where you broke the crystals. Take the north path this time. Head north past the foutain and to the right for a Specific and Treat. Now go back to the fountain and take the west path. Follow it to the next section. Head upstairs and then to the northwest stairs for a Limit ...
>>Nne Obara's Machete ***** Available: Bangkok Mastery Level 5. ----- Notes: This is a medium sized sword that has a bit of a dull edge so that you need to hit the victim twice to kill. It is also too large to be concealed.
To get through one tier, you must invest three skill points in it, unlocking the next tier or convergence skill. Characters gain a single skill point each time they gain a level, and the maximum level is 50, making for a total of 49 skill points (as you don’t get one on level 1).
Levels, by comparison, are not unique to DI at all. Level is the basic measure of a character’s power. As players level, they acquire more health and skills, and gain access to newer and better weapons and items. As zombies level, they gain health and damage and more types of zombies will appear as the story progresses.
