Hey guys, I'm playing my first playthrough of the game and I'm a typical Sword and Board Knight type. So far speccing mainly into End and Str with some Vit in there. I just upgraded a curved sword to +10 in order to get the Quelaag furysword but before I commit I was wondering if there a better/more suitable weapons I should look into.

Immediately before an attack hits you, you need to change the weapon in either hand once. This lets you escape the stunned animation and recover in fewer frames. Ways to mess it up: Toggle after or at the same time the attack hits you. If this happens you will stay stunned and the toggle will take place after the next hit gets you. Do most mash.

I'm very confused as to how to get a weapons +10. I upgraded my scythe to +5 then it wont let me go any higher; howerver it will let me use a Green Titanite shard and turn it back into a +1.
