So there's a bunch of advertisement for sites for free gems all over this app. Surprisingly, there is not a topic that seems to directly address this question as some seem to imply they work, others imply it's all a scam. There are some posts made by [KONAMI] claiming free gems, duellinks/online seems to advocate free gems...

You could easily manipulate the amount shown on the screen using a memory editor but you won't be able to spend that amount, when you try to spend it would go back to the server and see a different amount and then would update your screen to the correct amount.

Alternatively, you could always make a second steam account for her and share your library. It would require logging in and out and, iirc, restarting steam but it's an option. Yea that was a less ideal alternative since we share a pc/steam profile. If there was no other way thats what she would have to do. Thank you!
