I didn't notice any input lag when I played it during the testfire. Was it specific to the demo and not the original testfire? I only played the demo for long enough to beat the tutorial so I doubt I would have noticed if there was an issue. "Much like the pill bug, I too must continue to move forward."

What some people seem to miss is that a lot of issues don't come from the player's connexion but from the switch itself. It has been demonstrated that it really has a poor wifi support compared to a lot of other portable devices, and when you advertise your console as portable with stuff like "continue playing in your bus/train/metro" you better have a good wifi.
BUT the gameplay is innovative, intelligent, deep, and most importantly, a blast to play. While certain mechanics are borrowed from past Nintendo titles (the single-player feels like if Mario Galaxy and Portal 2 had a rebellious late 90's baby), it all comes down to a rich experience that is a thrill to play.
Nintendo announced a testfire event for the end of March. I'm kind of surprised they're having one of these events so soon, and wonder if they'll have any more testfires before the official release.
