You responded and recommended Devon Avenue meats, and I've been going there, on a regular basis, ever since. It is a fine butcher shop--top quality meats, helpful service, and, as you point out, not unreasonable prices.

It's been a few years since my last visit there (Port Chester, NY store) and my membership has expired. I'm retired now and no longer work for the company whose tax ID I used to get my membership. I wonder how tough RD is when re-applying for membership.

I was browsing for pizza because it's just been too darn hot to cook or even think about cooking. (Pizza because there's NOBODY else that delivers in my city.) Noticed Domino's had 4 new subs listed.

Hear, hear. My digestive system balks at Domino's. I actually quite enjoy the flavour of the pizza but then my body decides that I've performed chemical warfare on it through the ingestion and it decides to fight back. I have never felt more disgusting than the last three times I made the mistake of eating Domino's.
maria maria is owned by DSE and they use Carlos Santanas name this was the worst service i have ever had. the company DSE has put a lot of money into this place. it is a very nice restaurant. way over priced and worst service ever. im in the industy and i cant get over how bad the service was the server had only 3 tables and in the industy he did not cut it.

I agree with everyone who has recommended 5 Guys. I've only been to the one in Farmington (next town over from Avon) but I imagine they are probably pretty consistent from one location to another. Also one town away from Avon, but in the other direction, is Plan B in Simsbury (downtown in the old train station, the former One Way Fare).
