I don't wanna just power off but I do want to go play Forza Horizon. Save the witty one-liners for someone who will be impressed by them.

This is my first FAQ ever, for the wonderful game Shadow of Rome on the Playstation 2 entertainment system. If you have any ideas, contributions, suggestions, rants, ascii art, or anything otherwise constructive to my FAQ, please let me know. All types of input are welcome and credit will be given fairly.
There is a weird glitch in this game that sometimes make Govi's reappear. If you finish the game with two or three more Dark Souls, don't get all excited and think you've found a secret Govi that I somehow missed. There are only 120 Dark Souls to find, NO MORE! ... which will hit a pillar to form a path to the left of the switch below you ...
While you're here, get the "Seal of Life" from the chest in the lower left corner and the "tent" from the chest on the lower right. Now head to the West side of the campus to find that Gilbert's office is locked. Oh well, while you're here, grab the "Mirage" stella from the chest hidden behind the leftmost lamppost.

After the tutorial you'll be in charge of Karin, and you'll notice that the turn card order is glowing red for her. Look at the number of SP (Sanity Points) she has left and it's at 2. That's why her card is red, because she will lose sanity by the time she gets a second or third turn and will go berserk.
You can step into the portal in the S and that will take you to the locked room in the Burning Cavern near the Berserker Room. There is an Hpotion in that room and a SMITHY stone too. I recommend first going through the once locked door and then re-enter the room. That leaves the door open and accessible for later if you need it.
Eventually, you'll end up at the LC base. Rip a hole trough the base always heading west. At the northwestern corner of the map there are Repair and Ammo artifacts that constantly respawn. Destroy the whole base, and consider destroying the guardians from a safe distance. When you have done, build up a base with a WPC, VPC and a SD. Get 2 Boyars.
Be advised that this strategy takes longer and doesn't have the resource bonus, but it is generally safer. The next section is basic information about the game that should have been covered in the manual better than it actually was. - Main Base: During the campaign there is never any need to build a VPC or WPC in the mission area.

Go west until you hit some gold, iron, stone, and wood. Build a capitol right in between the iron and gold. Put all your guys with attack out ahead the road a little bit. Now begin pumping out citizens from your capitol, make lots and lots. Put 6 on gold, 6 on iron, 6 on food (make a granary in the southeast area), and about 4-5 on wood.
The next room is finally the end of the monsters, in a way. Open the chest for the "Remote Control", the item you've been after all this time. Once you get it a new area will be marked on your map, "Forbidden Mountain". The swirly thing to the right is a one-way portal that leads you to another room, with an Earth Stone in a chest.
