I have a nice HORI with 8 buttons, 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom Right now it's, Square, Triangle, R1, L1 X,Circle, R2, L2, I assigned the assist/switch out to R1 instead of L1 because it seemed to be better than reaching for L1.

I don't really get the z-union thing. I joined the Majin Buu union, and about 24 hours later I got a "Majin" title. Then about a week later it gave me a reward but it said I already had it so it gave me 10k zeni and 1 premium coin instead.

i looked up some more info on google, i believe you get a random color lobby avatar of the person's union you are in, a sticker, a title, and maybe more i dont remember, im not 100% sure but i guess after getting all of the unions rewards, they just start giving you money and its now you can move on to the next union
