It's just best to use whatever weapon style you're super familiar with, at least to start. Whatever sword skills you know the animations of. This is because the shine to perform a SSC always appears on the last hit of a sword skill, with the exception of Deadly Sins where it appears after the 4th hit during the pause.

Try using Miserable Heart first, because I've used both on an Aincrad NM, and the poison didn't disappear. Although Miserable Heart may get overwritten by Cursed Prey, so if that's the case, then using MH, inflicting a second poison, and then using CP may be the most effective strategy, since then the you have two high ranking poison DoT's going at once.
The longer skills like Overradiate and Deadly Sins go on the left side, with the green AoE skill usually next, followed by the yellow charge attack, and then the orange and red, then dark blue and the lighter blue. Whenever I need a decent Sandbag for any EO Ordinal that involves, Hit count, SSC Chain or Damage, I usually do the Volcanus Citadel Multiplayer Raid HNM. as he's slow and has high HP, and if you have at least 100,000 HP, only his ultimate skill is a real threat. Strange though, I also use PS4 Pro but I rarely come across any SSC Problems
Yeah that the best i find out when i was doing over 300 legendary's for my npc before uptade, wasting some time and making some good weapon for myself since i was doing a lot of 1 handed in a row and other weapon, i was save scumming all the way in, soo i figure out what max rolls was for each weapon, thats fun that 1 handed is a bit lower just because you can dualwield it ah ah.

Kitz in Territory Mode is only gotten through the Distress Call - Recruitment function in the Base for which you need I think War room at level 5 or so. Recruiting a single character costs 40 Wings of Freedom. If you dont get Kitz try to reload, however I am not sure if the order is not predetermined. What the skill does:
