I am experiencing the same issue for the past couple of months, mouse jumps around and sometimes will not respond when clicked. Then it will suddenly respond again, but still jumping around.
Is this a wireless mouse, or the touchpad? If another wireless mouse is in use at the same time, they can interfere with each other. There's 20,000 videos at youtube about jumping cursors.
