Note that you can catch him off guard and jump over him to attack him from above. The first time you do this he won't block your attack, but he will after you've engaged him. It's basically a mod made for US/UM which is set one year after the original Sun and Moon, with a load of memes/Japanese culture, new Pokemon in routes (e.g. Poipole in Route 1), virtually every NPC model has been changed, totem Pokémon being Ultra Beasts, etc.
You will begin by attempting a catch with a regular Poké Ball. If this fails to capture the target Pokémon, you can spend 2,500 Coins to attempt to use a Great Ball. (The cost is 3,500 in Mobile.)
