Make Someone Your Follower Open the Console and click the person. Their id will be displayed at the top/center of the Console panel. Then type these commands: SetRelationshipRank 14 3 AddToFaction 5C84D 3 AddToFaction 5A1A4 3 That will add the dialogue option, something like "I need your help. Follow me." if it is possible to add it.

Bump If there's not any better way I might just use the console to do it, I've heard it doesn't really work that well though and I don't want to mess anything up. I'd much prefer to use a mod that simply lets me either remove perks and get the points back, or reset all of my perks. I'm finding more and more that player home crashing is a fault of console limitations and not individual mods. Houses just have too much info to handle over normal cells (storage, displayed gear, mannequins, live-in followers, prefab clutter, etc), and the console just can't keep up.

OH MY GOD I KNOW THIS lol. I didn't even know it was quest, I just remember seeing it! At the college of Winterhold, check the dormitories. There are 2/3 floors each, and in one of them there is what looks like a storage room. In one of the storage rooms is the alembic :D. Oh - and keep in mind there are two dormitories.
