You have the map showing you which rooms are cleared. They even show the items that are still in there in case you're low on health and you forgot a green herb somewhere.

a gamecube is a waste of money just get a wii. the only annoying thing about the wii is start up requires a wii mote for some dumb reason and it murders white memory cards. but you get easy acesses component cables and acesses to both wii and gamecube games plus its a lot smaller. on the flip side you can get the gameboy player on the cube.
