I am sure there is special restaurant quality plastic that doesn't melt, but I want to hear from others. There are a ton of home cooks posting on the internet that are using grocery store wrap- are you eating plastic?

As she did before me, I use the same recipes in it as in a regular oven with no problems. She always used it for baking her bread.
Hi Chowhounds, I need an electric cooker for slow cooking as my cooktop is so small that I can't even put two pieces of cookware on it. Now the question is: I see on here or elsewhere that a roaster oven like Nesco can act like a slow cooker, and in the market a 6 qt. Nesco is on par with a 6 qt. slow cooker.
When only a poor carpenter blames his tools, a master carpenter can build the Taj Mahal with a hammer and saw. gotsmack's reply reminds me of a story about a couple that ran a restaurant in San Francisco back in the 1980s. It's supposed to be 'no name brand' but commercial quality cookware. How does it compare to , say, All-Clad, which I have some of and like , just dont feel like shelling out $100 every time I want or need a new fry pan or sauce pan. Was looking at some Cuisinart on eBay when I spotted this NSF stuff, which is also on Amazon and other sites.
