Your main source of money is the Imperial Treasury. You can have as many saves as your memory card will allow. It is a good idea to have more than one save in case you miss some event and want to retrace your steps. Also, make sure to save when you can because you can only save inside towns, and you may run into an enemy that you cannot defeat.
