This is the fastest way into the next TCS possible. Otherwise, no, no flashy moves. It’s basically still the same greatsword. Support for optimism: Nearly everyone I meet is some poor sod who doesn't realize what they've got, and I'm the worst offender. We all learn when we lose it.

While you will have to often tackle into an attack defensively, you do get an amount of damage reduction from the tackle. The other advantage to tackling is it's shorter to do so in order to get to the next level of charge in the triangle combo, and can cut down the time in order to land a TCS when the opportunity arises.

Well alright, that actually does help give a better idea to me of what's going on, but then there's still tempered oddities to deal with outside of optionals That's what's tripping me up right now, since things like tempered banbaro are spawning consistently over 20k (guiding lands and investigation). That is much closer to a 25% increase.
Iai spirit slash, on the other hand, is a mixed bag for me. First things first, it's a high risk attack. The i-frames are really tight to pull off unless you use a rocksteady - in which case it's much easier because you need to pull it off while being damaged or just slightly before.

Other advice I'd give: obviously, make an equipment loadout and an item loadout. Your item loadout only really needs two things --- Mega Barrel Bomb *2 and Large Barrel Bomb *2 --- but I also have a Max Potion to max my health after I eat a meal. Then, when I switch to my combat loadout, I don't have to waste one Max Potion to maximize my health.
zxxcman posted... You might end up actually wanting duplicates of the ones you'd be actually using. If the set bonus that you can awaken is the full skill, you might want the same weapon to have multiple options, like one with Master's Touch and another with something more comfy, y'know, and unlike the current augment system, it seems that hot swapping the awakened skills isn't going to be an ...
Cool. Two runs, two successes. Embarrassed myself a little because I still can't nail a TCS wakeup to save my life, but I'm happy I didn't cart. Thanks for the runs The Boss, Lord, Rosemary, Iris, Michelvis, and Musashi.

Therefore, the goal is to land as many true charge slashes as possible, which means you should never charge the first two hits in the combo cause you would be extending the time until the next TCS. Charging those first two hits does not increase the damage of true charge slash. In sum, I think focus is not worth the investment.
Health augnments seems like a waste to me but to each their own. Have never seen the appeal, I'm too paranoid to not pop a max potion instantly when my health is kinda low and I generally like to make my life harder for some reason lol.
Yeah it takes a while to get from farming one monster to another, though if you stick to focusing on the desert while doing a bit of stuff in the forest if anything cool pops up you should be able to keep both regions leveled - my forest and desert are both level 6 right now, so it's definitely reasonable to keep two regions up there, just ...
