In the beginning of the game, Marche was a new kid at school in a town called St. Ivalice. He was picked on along with another boy named Mewt Randell. Marche and Mewt bonded together in this way, and soon became close friends. Later on in the game, when the World changes to the World of Final Fantasy, Marche struggles to adjust to the New World.
