It's very unlikely that they will add any more into Sword and Shield just for the sake of it. They won't put the work in for no return. However, when the next gen 8 games come out (assuming they don't skip straight to gen 9) there will surely be more pokemon in those games that aren't yet in Sword and Shield, and compatibility for those pokemon will likely be added to Sword/Shield via a patch ...
