OH MY GOD I KNOW THIS lol. I didn't even know it was quest, I just remember seeing it! At the college of Winterhold, check the dormitories. There are 2/3 floors each, and in one of them there is what looks like a storage room. In one of the storage rooms is the alembic :D. Oh - and keep in mind there are two dormitories.

Tolfdir Saarthal quest were is he? Tolfdir wont show up at saarthal, the quest arrow is there, in front of the door, but he wont show up, ive waited for days and days, fast travlled to many places and back, he still wont show up. How to fix this bug? im using xbox. User Info: Serpenttounge.

There is a bolder, that has a shape like a door, in my path. I can see from the map, that the exit is not far past this bolder. When I touch the bolder it says "Rock wall won't shift".
