If you have the skill that increases your max health, and eat a meal that also increases your max health, it can go above 150 hp, to a max of 200 I believe. This is worth mentioning, because in past games, the 2 didn't stack. So your hp couldn't go beyond 150.

The health bar isn't across the whole screen like in other monster hunters, it's smaller so there's less UI on the screen, which is why it hides when you're not combat. You can get your health to 200 instead of 100 by eating food or drinking nutrients or max/ancient potions and equipping charms or decorations or armor that boosts HP.
Health augnments seems like a waste to me but to each their own. Have never seen the appeal, I'm too paranoid to not pop a max potion instantly when my health is kinda low and I generally like to make my life harder for some reason lol.

Well alright, that actually does help give a better idea to me of what's going on, but then there's still tempered oddities to deal with outside of optionals That's what's tripping me up right now, since things like tempered banbaro are spawning consistently over 20k (guiding lands and investigation). That is much closer to a 25% increase.

i did health two times, then stamina once, and repeat until i hit about 250 stamina. by that point i had so much health and armor that i didnt need to buff my health as much anymore, so i just figured id bump stamina up to 300 max.. now im doing only health every time.

Invite yourself on AIM to the chatroom "MHTri." Unfortunately, I am using Pidgin, so I don't know how to do this for all. Usually if you add yourself on to your buddy list, right-click the name, and hit "Invite to Chat Room" or something, then just type in "MHTri" for the chat(No Quotations!) name, you'll open a new window with the chat.

New to monster hunter games in general, only played MHW for ~62 hours and currently HR 13. I wonder if I should buy Iceborne expansion on release date or wait till I'm ready for it? I think I've enough time to finish main story, but won't have good/best end game gear (how many hours required for those?), does is matter though?
